The GP3 Series will finally be back on-track at the Portuguese Estoril venue next Tuesday and Wednesday, as the championship is already on-course for a long 2012 season. Trident Racing will be on-track with a massive 4-driver line-up. Talented Milan-based Vicky Piria will line-up with Trident Racing for a full 2012 run, and will drive a GP3 car for the first time. Vicky trained herself with the help of a simulator in an attempt to gain some confidence on an unknown racetrack.

Piria won't be the only Italian racer to drive for Trident Racing in Portugal. The team will have the chance to meet and evaluate Antonio Spavone, one of the best racing prospects of Italy. Maurizio Salvadori and his team, always focused in giving a chance to their country's racers, will do their best to guarantee Spavone a full support. Antonio will be at his debut on a GP3 series car too in Portugal, and the team's engineers have planned a detailed work schedule in order to suit the youngster in the best possible way.

In the two days of testing, the team will also field Nico Muller and Yuki Shiraishi. Muller, who already entered two GP3 seasons, can count on some extremely valuable results and will be Trident's benchmark in order to kickstart all the car's development. The 22-year-old Shiraishi, coming from Asian Formula Renault, is ready to take his first steps in Europe after having ended up 2011 in second place. After having had a first taste of a GP2 Series car last Autumn at Estoril, he'll be making his debut aboard a Renault-powered GP3 Dallara.
