J.R. Hildebrand Facts:
  • Won the 2008 winner of the Kansas Lottery 100.
  • Won his first race of the 2009 Firestone Indy Lights season at the Grand Prix of Long Beach.
  • Scored a podium finish in Race #1 at the season-opening Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg doubleheader.

J.R. Hildebrand on the Kansas Lottery 100:

"I'm looking forward to going back to the Kansas Speedway. I had a great race last year, so I hope to defend my win this year with the AFS/AGR car. We are coming off of a great weekend in Long Beach, so I hope we make the most of that momentum this weekend."

Sebastian Saavedra Facts:
  • Currently sits sixth in the 2009 Firestone Indy Lights championship points.
  • Achieved the first pole position and first podium finish of his Firestone Indy Lights career with a second-place finish in Race #2 at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
  • 18-year old rookie of the year candidate from Bogota, Columbia.

Sebastian Saavedra on the Kansas Lottery 100:

"I'm very excited about racing on my first oval track of the Firestone Lights Series. I have been watching the race from last year to get a better understanding of the track, but I don't think I will really be able to understand it until I get on track Saturday morning. The AFS/AGR cars did well there last year, so hopefully we will do the same this year."
