Belardi Takes Advantage of Seat Time

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Belardi Auto Racing's USF2000 team jetted to sunny Sebring, Florida last week to make use of available seat time for their four young drivers.

All first timers at Sebring International Raceway, Roman Lagudi, Luca Forgeois, Colin Thompson and Scott Anderson were able to learn a lot over the eight sessions of track time spread over two days.

"With the first three races of the Winter Series and the first two races of the regular season being at Sebring, any track time you can get there to test is very important to later success on the racetrack," Belardi's USF2000 team manager Chuck Lessick said. "With the drivers' experiences as well as the data and video we collected during the test, we have the tools to do our homework for what we believe will be a strong start to the 2012 USF2000 season."

The 3.7 mile road course is the first race of the season on the USF2000 schedule, as well as the first races of the Winter Series in February. With the track time this month and during the Winter Series, Belardi thinks his drivers will be better prepared to take on the 17-turn road course at the season opener in March.

"Being able to come down here with all four of our drivers is a great start to our 2012 season," says team owner Brian Belardi. "Any seat time is good seat time as not only the drivers, but the whole team, we are all constantly learning and progressing each session and each day. If this test was any indication of how our season will go, we are definitely headed in the right direction."

The Belardi Auto Racing USF2000 team can next be seen back at Sebring International Raceway during the Cooper Tires Winter Series on February 6th and 7th and then at Palm Beach International Raceway on February 11th and 12th.
