British F3 race winner Adriano Buzaid will complete Carlin's F3 squad for the 2010 season. The 21 year-old Brazilian will join already confirmed drivers James Calado, Jean-Eric Vergne, Rupert Svendsen-Cook and Jazeman Jaafar. 2010 will be Buzaid's second season in Formula 3, following a strong rookie season in 2009.

Buzaid put in an impressive performance as a rookie in British F3 last year, with four podiums, a pole position and a race win in Spa- Francorchamps to his name. Before racing in F3, Buzaid raced in the Formula Renault 2.0 UK championship, taking five race wins and finishing third overall in 2008.

Buzaid has raced with Carlin once before, in the British F3 National Class at Donington in 2008. Competing in his maiden F3 event, the young Brazilian finished on the podium on his first attempt.

Now returning to Carlin as a race winning British F3 driver, Buzaid will be aiming to add to Carlin's tally of 99 outright BF3 wins

Speaking about the season ahead, Buzaid said, "I'm very pleased to be with Carlin this season, and very grateful that Trevor [Carlin] waited for me. I have worked very hard over the winter to get this deal done so I'm pleased it all came together; I really want to make the most of this opportunity and show what I'm capable of in 2010.

"I think the various rule changes in British F3 this year are going to make it a very exciting season. The 40 minute race is going to make strategy more important, especially at circuits like Spa where you see such dramatic change in conditions. It seems a long time since the last race and I can't wait to get back into the car."

Adriano makes a welcome return to the team having raced with us briefly in 2008", said Carlin race director Trevor Carlin. "He was very impressive last season and on occasions very hard to beat. It will be very rewarding to have him within the team this year rather than racing against him! Adriano completes a very strong team for us in 2010 with a great depth of talent. It's going to be very exciting to see how everyone does in the first few events."
