Kevin Magnussen (Motopark Academy) scored his first win on his debut in the Formula 3 Euro Series. Coming home second in the sixth season round of the Formula 3 Euro Series near Valencia, Nicolas Marroc (Prema Powerteam) scored his first podium finish in the Euro Series, just like Magnussen. Laurens Vanthoor (Signature) ended up third. Edoardo Mortara (Signature), who crossed the finish line in sixth place, remains points' leader.

17-year old Dane Kevin Magnussen took the lead at the start and pulled clear from the rest of the field more and more during the 27 race laps, eventually winning by more than ten seconds. Behind him, Nicolas Marroc succeeded in keeping his two rivals Vanthoor and Valtteri Bottas (ART Grand Prix) at bay.

The two Spaniards in the field had little luck. At the first corner already, Roberto Merhi (Mücke Motorsport) collided with António Félix da Costa (Motopark Academy) and retired. Daniel Juncadella (Prema Powerteam) stalled at the start and was classified only ninth.

Kevin Magnussen (Motopark Academy): "This victory comes as a surprise for me, too. I came to Valencia without any expectations, I just wanted to do my best. My race was fantastic, I was able to pull clear immediately. I just concentrated on avoiding mistakes."

Nicolas Marroc (Prema Powerteam): "Yesterday, I was already happy having scored my first point in the Formula 3 Euro Series. Today, I am on the podium for the first time and I am even more happy. Initially, I still tried to follow Kevin, but he was too fast for me. Then, I concentrated on defending my second place."

Laurens Vanthoor (Signature): "I hope that this result is the start of a range of good results. My start wasn't very good, I still have to work on that. As overtaking is very difficult here, I tried to force Nicolas into making a mistake. But he drove a good race and maintained his second place."
