Merhi and Juncadella want to make the spaniards cheer

On its third race weekend of the 2010 season, the Formula 3 Euro Series enters virgin soil. Never before in its seven years of history has the series contested a race at Valencia's Circuit Ricardo Tormo. So, it's perfect that Spain - represented by Roberto Merhi (Mücke Motorsport) and Daniel Juncadella (Prema Powerteam) - took the lead in the nations' ranking, four weeks ago at the Hockenheimring. While Italy's Edoardo Mortara (Signature) holds the lead in the drivers' championship.

But Mortara lead over Marco Wittmann (Signature) is narrow. At Hockenheim, the German celebrated his maiden race win in the Planet's most competitive young-gun series and also secured the first pole position of his Euro Series career. Currently he has got just one point less on his tally than Mortara who finished runner-up in the 2008 Formula 3 Euro Series Championship.

Meanwhile, you also should keep an eye on to the two Spaniards Roberto Merhi and Daniel Juncadella. Merhi who lives close to Valencia also secured his maiden Euro Series win at Hockenheim and wants to tie in with this success, in his home races. While rookie Juncadella impressed particularly in the qualifying sessions, to date. He also plans to deliver in front of his compatriots and wants to secure his second podium.

Kevin Magnussen (Motopark Academy) will race the car of Adrian Quaife-Hobbs, at Valencia. The Dane is a Euro Series newcomer and currently holds third position in the ATS Formula 3 Cup.

Roberto Merhi (Mücke Motorsport): "Valencia is my home event. I'm living just 100 kilometres from the track. So, a lot of my friends, acquaintances and fans will attend this race weekend to support me. My goal is clear: I want to win. My first win at Hockenheim shouldn't remain my only triumph. I want to win as many races as possible, this year, as I still have got the goal to win the title."
