19 teams and 44 cars to feature in 2008 line-up
The Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 continues to go from strength to strength. The increasingly popular championship reaches new heights in 2008: the World Series by Renault Organizing Committee has selected nineteen teams, from a total of nine different countries, to take part in this year's championship. A total of 44 drivers will be fighting it out in this season, which promises plenty of exciting and incident-packed races. The action gets underway at Spa-Francorchamps on May 3 and 4.
The Organizing Committee, which is responsible for selecting the teams, is made up of José-Louis Lopez (VP Sales and Marketing, Renault Sport), Alix Masson (Motorsport Coordinator, Renault Sport), Jaime Alguersuari (President, RPM Racing) and Jordi Castells (Motorsport Director, RPM Racing).
The nineteen teams selected by the Committee are as follows (in alphabetical order):
