Timmy Hansen confirmed for Interwetten.com Racing

In addition to the British Driver Melville McKee the Interwetten.com Racing Team succeeded to extend the contract with the Swedish Driver Timmy Hansen. The Team has now two of their three Eurocup seats for 2012 occupied by very promising drivers. For Timmy, this will be his second season he competes for the Austrian racing team of Team Principal Michael Schneider.

2011 achievements of driver and team included a victory at the Hungaroring, a podium place at the Nürburgring and constant high level qualifying performances by Timmy. "Having committed Timmy again for the coming season means a lot to us. Timmy and Melville complete a strong team and are two competitive drivers who will drive each other onwards and upwards", team principal Michael Schneider commented on the renewal of the contract with the Swede.

"I am delighted to compete in the Eurocup for the Interwetten.com Racing Team again. I have full confidence in the team, who is constantly striving to further develop, and the team spirit and motivation are amazing in this team" said Timmy Hansen.

Melville McKee, too, has been quite successful in the last season. The Brit convinced as overall fourth in the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS championship. The 17 year old finished on the podium four times, three times as the winner. Good results in the winter tests also proved his capabilities without a doubt.

The Interwetten.com Racing Team will be represented in the Eurocup with three drivers. The team will also compete in the NEC as well as the ALPS championship.
