Watkins Glen, New York - Making his first race start from 19th position on the grid at the famed Watkins Glen International road course, FAZZT Race Team driver Alex Tagliani could not do much to improve his position during the race. Fuel strategy was the key in today's race. The team brought Alex in for his first stop on lap 5 in the hopes that an alternate strategy would play in their favor. The strategy appeared to benefit Alex when he moved to third place for the middle stint of the race due to the pit strategy the team employed with their early race stop. A yellow on lap 38 set the team up for their final stop on lap 41. The Canadian driver pitted in 13th position and exited in 15th but dropped to 18th at the races restart on lap 43. He regained one position in the final 17 laps to finish the race in 17th position in Sunday's Round 9 of the 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series

Will Power was dominant during the 6th running of the Camping World Grand Prix at the Glen, winning from the pole and leading the most laps to edge his Team Penske teammate Ryan Briscoe by 1.2181 seconds at the conclusion of the 60 laps/328.32 kilometers event. With his third win of the 2010 season, the Australian driver remains the only multi-time winner this year. Power also became the first driver to ever win from the pole at Watkins Glen in the IndyCar Series era, and the first Penske driver to win at the Glen since Rick Mears took the checkered flag for the Captain back in 1981 in the old CART Series. Dario Franchitti finished third in Sunday's race in his Chip Ganassi Racing Dallara, followed by Raphael Matos and Mario Moraes. Twenty-two of the 25 cars that started the race finished on the lead lap.

"Today was a tough day," said Tagliani. "We haven't had our best weekend and the entire FAZZT team were hoping that we could pull out a good result with race strategy but that just didn't happen. Rob (Edwards) and the guys tried to do their magic but when the yellow came out (on lap 38), we were just done. At that point, I just tried to keep out, gain some positions, and gain some points to help us improve in the Championship hunt. I'm looking forward to the next races in Canada and I know we will recover and come back strong in Toronto."

Rob Edwards, FAZZT Chief Operating Officer, on the Camping World Grand Prix Practice:

"This was not our best weekend this year. We tried something with the strategy and in the middle of the race it looked like it might yield something for us but the 2nd yellow of the race came on absolutely the worst lap for our strategy. After that it was just about running the race to the end and picking up what points we could."

Point Standings

Team Penske driver Will Power remains the leader with 327 points, with Dario Franchitti 32 points back in second place. Scott Dixon, who finished eighth, is now third with 287, seven more than Ryan Briscoe. Tagliani is currently in 14th place in the standings with 169 points.

The IZOD IndyCar Series will move north of the American border to Canada for the next two events starting with the Honda Indy Toronto, which takes place July 16-18, 2010, and the Honda Indy Edmonton the following weekend of July 23-25.
