Maiden Trip to Toronto Ends Early for Lloyd

Toronto, Ontario, Canada - Alex Lloyd driving the Boy Scouts of America Indy Car would run steady until a hit with the turn one wall would end his day here in his first visit to the Toronto Street Circuit.

Alex started today's race in 23rd position and had moved up two positions before the yellow flag. A yellow flag had come out just after most of the field had pitted. On the restart going into turn one, Alex had the car jump sideways and hit the outside wall quite heavily ending the Brit's first time visit to this historic street circuit.

"I am not sure what happened, the car just suddenly jumped sideways and I was in the wall," commented Lloyd. "It all happened so fast I don't know if I was hit from behind or something broke, but it was really quick how fast it all happened."

The team will work in Toronto tonight to make repairs to the #19 car and then head to Edmonton, Alberta Canada for next week ends race.
